Mixed Media Christmas Cards

It’s that time of year! There is something special about sending your loved ones a handmade card for the holidays.  It feels more personal and they can see the time and love you put into it.  Do you send out holiday cards?  Do you make your own or buy them? I’d love to hear about your card sharing holiday traditions.

I love making greeting cards and I also love mixed media!  Lately, I have been combining the two and making 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch mixed media cards.  They are so fun and a different way to practice my mixed media techniques.

Please watch the video to see how I made these mixed media Christmas Cards.

I love the technique used in this video because you get 2 backgrounds for the price of 1!  I love when I can get more out of my products.

I used Imagine’s Fireworks spray and irRESISTible colored texture spray with a stencil and modeling paste to create these backgrounds.  Such a wonderful technique to get the perfect background every time!

What else do you hand craft during the holidays?  Home decor, sweet treats, gifts for family and friends?  I’d love to hear about all of your handmade traditions.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Holidays!
